A garment is more than fabric.
For the cultures that shaped our brand, dress has always been a language. Each colour communicates. Each pattern has meaning. Each symbol carries history. We don't borrow these traditions lightly. We translate them with care.
Gye Nyame
Our brand mark draws from a centuries-old Adinkra symbol meaning except for God, a quiet acknowledgement of something greater than the self. In Akan tradition, Adinkra symbols are stamped onto cloth to communicate values, philosophies and proverbs without a word being spoken.
For Point of Return, this mark is our compass: humility, perspective, and reverence for what came before us.
Kente Cloth
Once worn exclusively by Asante royalty, Kente is one of the most recognised textiles in the world. Each colour carries meaning: gold for status and royalty, green for renewal, blue for harmony, black for spiritual maturity.
We work the visual language of Kente into our collections as a reminder that clothing was, and remains, a form of cultural authorship.
The Dashiki
The Dashiki is more than a garment. Across West Africa it has stood for diaspora identity, cultural pride, and quiet defiance. The cut is open, generous, and built for movement and air.
Our interpretations honour the silhouette while modernising the fabrication and finishing for everyday wear. See the Kente Print Dashiki Vest for our current take.
Ankara & Wax Prints
The boldly patterned cottons known as Ankara or Dutch Wax have a complex history that crosses three continents. Today they are an unmistakable visual signature of African fashion, each motif carrying a name, a saying, or a story.
We choose our prints with care, working with weavers and printers whose practice respects the meaning of these cloths.
